Born and raised in Montana, Ann received her BA from Transylvania University and was inducted into the Phi Alpha Theta history honor society. After graduating from Transy with honors, Ann worked as a field archaeologist before entering law school. Ann graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2007, where she received the CALI award for her writing in Comparative Law. Ann served as a law clerk for the Family Court of the 14th Judicial Circuit of Kentucky before going into private practice.
Ann has been in private practice since 2008. Her current practice focuses on divorce, grandparent rights, adoption, custody, domestic violence, and child support issues, as well as appellate work in those fields.
Focusing her work in family law, Ann is licensed to practice law in the state courts of Kentucky, as well as the Federal Courts of the Eastern District of Kentucky. She is a member of the American, Kentucky, and Fayette County Bar Associations.
Ann has been recognized for her extensive pro bono efforts, and also volunteers with the Grandparents As Parents (“GAP”) annual conference planning committee. Ann serves on The Mediation Center of Kentucky's Board of Directors, as well as having been the KBA Family Law Section's Treasurer from 2015-2017, and the FCBA Domestic Relations Co-Chair from 2014-2015 and 2021-2022.
